Efficient Fueling Systems won the Southern Utah Concept to Company Grand Prize with their CoolCab Cooling System innovation. The CoolCab system is a unique, patented innovation that allows freight trucks to cool their cabs without idling the truck or using fuel. The specialized system pulls refrigerated air from the cargo area, filters it, pumps it into the cab, and re-circulates it back to the freight area. Doing this allows millions of truck drivers to sleep comfortably in their truck beds without idling their trucks and running their A/C- which is now against the law except for short periods of time.
CoolCab was chosen as the Grand Prize Winner of the event and was awarded $10,000 in cash and $10,000 in services to take their product to market.
Proseedure Media/ Flixify.com was chosen as one of the Runners-up in the Concept to Company contest. Their innovation is a new website called Flixify.com. This unique website targets female scrap-bookers who want to share their home videos. It is essentially a digital scrapbooking website that teaches, trains, and supports women who want to create fun video clips to send to friends and family or upload to websites. As a runner-up, Flixify received $5000 in cash $5000 in services to start their business.
EasyLoadPro.com was the second runner-up for the Southern Utah Concept to Company Contest. EasyLoadPro.com has developed a reverse auction website for the shipping industry. This allows shippers to upload their shipping needs and carriers can bid against it. The website will also streamline paperwork, contracts, and billing into one system so it will be seamless. It will provide a much easier and efficient way for shippers to ship small loads without the hassle of dealing with large carriers and excessive fees. As a Runner-Up, EasyLoadPro won $5000 in cash and $5000 in services to take their product to market.
