
The 2010 Digital Media Concept to Company Contest was the sixth C2C competition and was another great success. It took place from January to March 2010. The focus of the contest was on innovations that help create or distribute digital media.
Over 100 applicants applied to the contest and of those, eight finalists were chosen. The finalists presented their ideas to a panel of judges on March 5th at Utah Valley University in Orem. After the judges deliberation, the three winners were announced, but without revealling who the Grand Prize Winner was. Instead, the three winners then presented a summary of their ideas at the Pushbutton Digital Media Summit on March 10th in Salt Lake City. After the presentations, the Grand Prize Winner was announced and prizes awarded. The Grand Prize winner recieved $10,000 in cash from Zions Bank/Grow Utah Ventures and $25,000 in services from UTSTAR, CFO Solutions, Ballard Spahr, & Workman Nydegger. The Runners-Up recieved $5,000 in cash and $17,000 in services from the same. The three winners and their ideas, along with a press release, are listed below.

Pixelture was the Grand Prize Winner in the Digital Media '10 C2C contest. Pixelture has developed a wireless solution that allows multiple notebooks and smartphones to connect to and share one or more fixed displays through a wireless connection. This means that students, employees, etc can all connect their laptops to one projector at the same time and easily display their information as needed.
As the Grand Prize Winner Pixelture was awarded $10,000 in cash and $27,500 in services to take their product to market.
Ripplewake was chosen as one of the Runners-up in the Digital Media Concept to Company contest. Their innovation is a unique method of splitting a single audio source containing multiple sources into new corresponding single tracks. This improves audio output in live broadcasts, performances, cell phone communication and more as it isolates only the sound you want to hear. As a runner-up, Ripplewake received $5,000 in cash $12,500 in services to start their business.
Holorad was chosen as one of the Runners-up in the Digital Media Concept to Company contest. Their innovation is a patented process of creating interactive 3D holographic imagery without the need of special glasses for viewing. As a runner-up, Holorad received $5,000 in cash and $12,500 in services to start their business.
