The 2009 Outdoor Recreation Concept to Company Contest was the fifth C2C competition and was a huge success. It took place from September to October 2009. The focus of the contest was on innovative outdoor recreation products and services.
Over 65 quality applicants applied to the contest and of those, nine finalists were chosen. The finalists presented their ideas to a panel of judges on October 30th at the Weber State Lindquist Alumni Center. After the judges deliberation, the winners were announced later that day at the awards ceremony.
The MFD Roslyn, by Multifacetid Design, is a unique ski binding adapter which allows skiers to use existing alpine downhill ski bindings as alpine touring bindings. This will give skiers greater flexibility to “cross-country” ski into the backcountry areas without having to switching skis or boots. It also allows them to then ski down backcountry areas using their standard downhill binding instead of an inferior Alpine Touring binding.
